The History of Winemaking
R11000
17 Stellenbosch artists were invited to produce work with the theme of WINE
This painting was result of an invitation by the owners (Van Pletzen family) of the Oewergaauw Wine estate and cellars near Stellenbosch to celebrate their Centenary (1905 – 2005). 17 Stellenbosch artists were invited to produce work with the theme of WINE. I decided to write out the history of winemaking in the triangle and the description of the three main cultivars produced on the farm, in the three “slices”.
