During the late 80’s I continued to engage with the historical notion of white minority domination in Africa. The African icons used, expresses the potential of latent “African” power. I managed to get hold of a “real” AK47 rifle and scanned it bit by bit. The physicality of this cold metal and plastic weapon, really touched emotions of fear of violence that I grew up with.
