An oil painting done as a “sketch” involves art theory and history.
This is an oil painting done as a “sketch” during a time when I was very involved in constant discussions on art theory and history during 1999. Being involved in academic discourse with fellow lecturers at the University of Stellenbosch, I tried to make it my own post modernism, using symbols that I often used in earlier paintings.
